Reviews
Sits at Wolnica Square, the Kazimierz Town Hall was built around 1414 in Krakow's historic Jewish Quarter, served as the seat of the independent town of Kazimierz, evolving from its medieval origins with Renaissance additions in the 16th/17th centuries, enduring damage (like during the Second Northern War), and later functioning as schools before becoming home to the Ethnographic Museum of Kraków after WWII, housing rich Polish ethnographic collections today.
The Kazimierz town hall, situated from the beginning in the centre urban square (later called Plac Wolnica), is witness to this history, and is fundamental to the heritage and memory of Kraków, as well as of Poland.
